Update from Artemis Offshore Academy Performance Director, John Thorn, as the Development Squad are back into training at the Centre D’Entrainment (CEM) in La Grande Motte after the Christmas break [18th January 2011]:

It’s great to be back in La Grande Motte at the start of 2011 with an exciting year to look ahead to. Christmas already seems like a while ago.

Offshore double-handed development for Sam Goodchild: Jamaica to Southampton 15 - 12 - 10

Sam Goodchild, a member of the Artemis Offshore Academy, is currently delivering a Class 40 yacht across the Atlantic from Jamaica to Southampton. This experience will be a sharp learning curve, allowing him to put into practice the many skills he has developed since joining the Artemis Offshore Academy.

Pip Hare 17th overall in the 2011 Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6.50 Series Class

The Mini-Transat, as this race is more popularly known, saw Artemis Offshore Academy Associate member and first-time Mini-Transat sailor Pip Hare arrive into the windy Brazilian port of Bahia having achieved her goal of finishing in the top 15 of the Series class for leg two.
